Timothy Shane Scott, 57, of Hartford, IL, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2026, at his residence. Born on June 29, 1969, in Alton, IL, he was the son of David Lee Sr. and Lillian (Johnson) Scott. He loved darts, music, nature, helping others, his friends, and his family.

He is survived by his wife, Darlene (Geilhausen) Scott; a daughter, Hannah Faith Scott; two sons, Samuel Shane Scott and Timothy Michael Scott; his father, David Lee Scott; four brothers, David L. Scott Jr. (Cathy Scott), Eric Scott, Jonathan Scott, and Dennis Scott; a sister, Lori Scott, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Lillian Scott.

Cremation rites have been entrusted to Gent Funeral Home & Cremation Services in Alton. A celebration of life will be held from 2 to 5:30 pm, Sunday, November 15, 2026, at Willoughby Farms in Collinsville, IL. Timothy will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
