Dateline: Cedar Rapids, Iowa

Timothy Michael Holt, 55, of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, formerly of Alton, Illinois, passed away
unexpectedly on December 30, 2021.
Tim was born on October 21, 1966 in Alton to Eugene and Carolyn (Klaus) Holt, along with his
twin, Tad. Tim and Tad attended St. Mary's Catholic School and Marquette Catholic High
School ('84,) and played baseball and football throughout their youth and high school. They were each other's best friend and remained inseparable throughout life -- often taking jobs that
separated them, only to come back together in a new city or to work for the same company,
eventually. Tim loved airplanes and spent most of his career in the aeronautics industry. Playing golf became a favorite hobby, and he always loved working on cars. He was an Army veteran having served in Desert Shield and Desert Storm. In addition to his parents, Tim is survived by many who loved him including his fiancé, Rose Bismanos of Davao City, Philippines; daughter Brittanee and her family - Matt, Zoey, and Luci Hokenson of Bunker Hill, IL; daughter Carolyn Engler of Germany; son, Dakota, of Cedar Rapids, IA; brother, Tad, and his family - Amy, Amber, Hannah, and Harrison Holt of Cedar Rapids; sister Tammy and her family – Philip, Drew, and Mia Creighton of Shawnee, KS; sister Terri and her family – David and Mitchell Hufker of Shawnee, KS; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews and nieces; and last but not least, his beloved dog, Bella. A memorial Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, May 28, 2022 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Alton. Burial with full military honors will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Memorials may be made to Marquette Catholic High School or 5A's Animal Shelter, both in Alton, IL, in memory of Tim. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
