Sue Carol Johnson, 88 passed away at 8:38 a.m., Friday, July 4, 2025 at The Evelyn's House, Creve Coeur, MO, with her family by her side. Born on June 23, 1937 in Granite City, she was the daughter of Kenneth Adam and Susie (Pelvan) Stearns. She worked at JC Penney. She married Richard L. Johnson on March 21, 1959. Sue is survived by her husband; a daughter, Deborah Grable; two sons, Ted (Kelly) Johnson and Mark (Jennifer) Johnson; four grandchildren, Todd, Jonathan, Benjamin and Katharine; three great grandchildren, Mason, Ryleigh and Peyton and a brother, Kenneth A. Stearns. She is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, George Stearns and Dennis Stearns. Graveside service will be Wednesday, July 9, 2025 at 11:00 am, at Sunset Hill Memorial Estates, Glen Carbon, IL. Flowers may be sent to Ted and Kelly or memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation or to the American Heart Association.
