Steven O. Jackson, 70, passed away surrounded by family at 5:00 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2012 at Clare Bridge, North Oaks, and Minnesota. He was born June 20, 1941 in Alton the son of William and Bernice (Burleson) Jackson. He is survived by one son; David (Roberta) Jackson and one daughter; Amy (Jon Cooper) Jackson; grandson, Dustin Rian; great-granddaughter, Alaina; five sisters; Janet (Bill) Steinbrueck, Carol Cannavan, Barbara Buckshot, Gail (Al) Woolverton and Claire Jackson, two brothers; Jeff Jackson and Nate(Mary) Jackson; many nieces, nephews and close friends. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty (Talley) Jackson and his parents. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 7, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at GENT Funeral Home in Alton. Graveside services will be Wednesday at 1:00 p.m. at Upper Alton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation or any local hospice.
