Shirley Gene Miller, 79, died at 7:05 a.m. Sunday, September 8, 2013 surrounded by her family. Born August 29, 1934 in Chicago, IL, she was the daughter of James and Josephine (Florek) Inman. She was a graduate of Visitation High School in Chicago and a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey. On July 29, 1967 she married Don Miller in Chicago. He survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Claudine Miller (David Flanagan) of St. Louis, MO, and Laurel Montecinos (James) of O'Fallon, MO, three grandchildren, Nicolas, Josie, and Daniel Hartman, a nephew, David Inman (Emily) of Chicago and their children, Richard and Peter Inman also of Chicago. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Richard Inman. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 10, 2013 at Gent Funeral Home where funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 11, 2013. Deacon Bill Kessler will officiate. Burial will be private.
