Rita C. Schrumpf (nee Heyne), 81, died at Thursday, October 19, 2011 at Manor Care in Libertyville. She was born May 15, 1930 in Alton. Rita enjoyed crafting, painting and also loved animals. She is survived by her children, Cheri (Cliff) Maki, Richard (Sandra) Schrumpf, Lilah (Tony) DiBlasi, her grandchildren, Darcy (Daniel) Hutten, Jeffery (Louise) Maki, Ragen (Michael) Carpentieri, April Schrumpf, Abigail Schrumpf, Kelly (Chris) O'Toole, Jordan DiBlasi, Daniel (Fran) Clardy and her great grandchildren, Matthew, Nickolas, Travis, Lylla, Griffin, Breana, Gary, Anthony and Samantha. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Sunday, October 23, 2011 at Gent Funeral Home where funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 24, 2011. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Father Steve Pohlman will officiate. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Save-A-Pet, P.O. Box 799, Grayslake, IL 60030 or the Midwest Palliative & Hospice Care, 2050 Claire Ct., Glenview, IL 60025.
