Phyllis Jeanine Roggio, 78, died at 2:29 a.m. Thursday July 16, 2015 at Alton Memorial Hospital. Born August 5, 1936 in Alton, she was the daughter of Robert W. and Violet (Phillips) Clayton. She was a retired Registered Nurse. On January 28, 1956 she married Frank V. Roggio in Alton. He preceded her in death on November 27, 1998. Surviving is a daughter, Michele Mendez (David) of Tampa, FL, two sons, Frankie V. Roggio of Kansas City, MO, and Philip Roggio of Alton, four grandchildren, Abbigail, Christopher, and Olivia Roggio, and Daniele Jeanine Mendez. Also surviving is a brother, Robert G. Clayton (Alice) of Godfrey, and a sister, Carolyn Dawson of Peoria, IL. All services were private. Memorials may be made to the St. Vincent DePaul Society or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
