Phyllis E. Kliefoth, 93, died at 8:30 p.m. Wednesday November 7, 2018 at Alton Memorial Hospital. Born September 5, 1925 in Minneapolis, MN, she was the daughter of Hazel Lucas. In May 1946 she married John Kliefoth in Pleasant Hope, MO. He preceded her in death on November 27, 2005. Mrs. Kliefoth was a homemaker and a member of Main Street United Methodist Church. She loved to read and play Bridge. Surviving is a son and daughter-in-law, Dr. James and Kathy Kliefoth of Godfrey, four granddaughters, Kimberly (Brian) Rees of Colorado Springs, CO, Stacey (David) Castiglioni of Wildwood, MO, Leslie (Geoff) Wiley of Collinsville, and Ashley (Daniel) Toenjes of Barnhart, MO, and eight grandchildren, Natalie, Meredith, Austin, Samuel, Nicholas, Anneliese, Olivia, and Jackson. Memorial services will be at 9:00 a.m. Monday, November 12, 2018 at the United Methodist Village Chapel. Reverend Tim Pate will officiate. Burial will be in Mokena, IL.
