Patricia Walter, 76, formerly of Alton, died Sunday, October 14, 2012 at her daughter's home in Louisville, Colorado. Born May 21, 1936 in Fairmont, WV, she was the daughter of Charles and Lourine (Boyce) Liller. She worked in the maternity ward of St. Joseph Hospital in Alton and was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey. On June 7, 1958 in Alton, she married William Walter. He preceded her in death on December 15, 2000. Surviving are four children, Debbie Davis (Mike) of Godfrey, Sandra Ramsey (Mark) of Alton, Mike Walter of San Diego, CA, and Linda Walter of Boulder, CO, four grandchildren, Jamie Williams, Matthew Davis, Jacob Davis, and Emily Davis, two great grandchildren, Riley Williams and Sidney Williams, and two brothers, James Liller (Linda) of Colorado, and Robert Liller of Alton. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a son, Jeff Walter. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, October 18, 2012 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 19, 2012. Father Steve Pohlman will officiate. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Memorials may be made to the 5A's Animal Shelter.
