Nancy Rene McNelly-Okada, 60, died at 11:20 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2019 at Willow Rose Nursing Home in Jerseyville. Born August 20, 1958 in Alton, she was the daughter of Ruth (Blair) McNelly of Jerseyville and the late Guy Claude McNelly. Nancy was a secretary for State Farm in Bethalto for 20 years. She loved gardening and spending time with her granddaughter and family. Along with her mother she is survived by a daughter, Marcie Case (Josh) of Bethalto, a son, Matt Smith of Bethalto, a granddaughter, Kaidyn Hickerson, one brother, Glen McNelly (Paula) of Grafton, a sister, Linda Champlin (Jack) of Godfrey and numerous nieces, nephews, friends and her beloved Kitty. A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Reverend Andre' Dobson will officiate. Burial will be private at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
