Nancy McDow, 96, passed away at 11:02 p.m. on Monday, February 3, 2025 at Bria of Godfrey. She was born May 16, 1928 in Alton, the daughter of the late Dewey and Mary (Hansbrough) McDow. She was a lifelong resident of Elsah, IL. Nancy graduated from Alton High school class of 1945 and then went on to graduate from Shurtleff College class of 1949. She worked in the accounting department at Millers Mutual for 32 2/3 years. Nancy is survived by her special friends, Lois M. Holmes-Bailey, Alison Rohan and Rodney Jackson. Besides her parents she was preceded in death by an infant sister, Nita McDow. All services are private. Gent Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
