Michael Joseph Barrett, 39, died in Houston, TX on August 23, 2020. He was born on May 6, 1981 in Houston, TX. He was the son of Patrick Barrett (who survives) and Lula Frances Hammond (who died July 8, 2023). Michael married Sarah Roberts in Houston, TX (who survives). He is survived by his son, Joseph Barrett of Houston, TX, his brothers John Patrick Barrett (Courtney) of Katy, TX and Warren James Barrett (Christina) of Houston, TX and his nieces Margaret Barrett, Alexis Barrett and nephew Patrick Barrett.
Michael was a bright and talented young man who graduated from The High School for the Performing and Visual Arts in Houston, TX in 1999. He attended the College of Santa Fe (NM) on a theater scholarship for two years. He served in the Army Reserves.
Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 29, 2023 at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Godfrey, IL and a celebration of life at the Knights of Columbus (Godfrey, IL) immediately following the service.
