Mary Alice Bailey, 95, died at 3:55 a.m. Wednesday, September 23, 2020 at her home in Jerseyville. Born October 7, 1924 in Flat Rock, IL, she was the daughter of William and Susan (Dalton) Faith. Mrs. Bailey was a member of Locall 88 and retired from Kroger. She volunteered at the Caravan, Beverly Farm and the Crisis Food Center. On June 28, 1948 she married Carl E. Bailey in Alton. He preceded her in death on November 3, 2005. Surviving is a son, Steve Bailey (Barbara) of Jerseyville, three grandchildren, Jacob, Alissa and Jordan, numerous great grandchildren and a sister, Delores Burton of Hartford, KY. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Watters, one sister and four brothers. Graveside services will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 25, 2020 at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
