Mark Charles Harmon, 56, died at 6:12 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at his home. Born December 12, 1961 in Alton, he was the son of Patricia (Klunk) Harmon of Alton and the late Harvey Harmon. Mark worked in the I.T. department for MasterCard. On July 10, 2009 he married the former Lorraine "Lori" Hentrich in Alton. She survives. Also surviving is a daughter, Megan Flatt of Manchester, MO, a brother, Matt Harmon (Gretchen) of Godfrey, two nieces, Abby Inlow (Dan) of Alton, and Rachel Fergurson (Elliott) of Alton, his mother and father-in-law, Fred and Mary Ann Hentrich of Alton, two brothers-in-law, Mike Hentrich (Lisa) of Dow, and John Hentrich of Alton, and a sister-in-law, Susie Trefny of Alton. Along with his father, he was preceded in death by a sister-in-law, Dawn Hentrich. No visitation is scheduled. A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, October 1, 2018 at SS Peter & Paul Catholic Church in Alton. Father Jason Stone will officiate. Burial will be at St. Joseph's Cemetery in Alton. Memorials may be made to the Riverbender Community Center or Marquette Catholic High School. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
