Lorraine E. Tucker, 76, passed away peacefully at her Alton home at 8:50 p.m. on Thursday, June 14, 2012 surrounded by family. She was born August 24, 1935 in Glens Falls, New York to her parents Robert Rivers and Evelyn (Barron) Baker. On October 27, 1962 in Poplar Bluff, MO, she married her best friend, Robert A. Tucker, and he survives. Lorraine dedicated her life to raising their family and spent 8 years as Activity Director at D'Adrian Convalescent Center.
Lorraine is survived by five sons, David White and his wife Mary of Cahokia, Robert Tucker and his wife Teresa of Benld, Thomas Tisdale of Wood River, Randy Tucker of East Alton, and Michael Tucker and his partner Frank Siano of St. Louis; two daughters, Robin McGrath and her husband Billy of Wood River, and Connie Paruch and her husband Richard of Alton; six grandchildren; Candice Clemons and her husband Jeremy, Brittni Brooks, Matthew White, Bobbie Gross and her husband Annan, Chris Tucker, and Aaron Carroll; two brothers, Thomas Rivers of Donna, TX, and Richard Baker of New Port Richey, FL; and five great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Robert Rivers; and her sister, Pauline Talbert.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until time of Funeral service at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 18, 2012 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Burial will be private.
