Loraine M. LaPelle, 95, died at 2:30 p.m. Monday, September 21, 2015 at her home. Born October 27, 1919 in Alton, she was the daughter of Albert and Elizabeth (Vahle) Doerr. She married Leroy J. LaPelle on June 25, 1938 in Alton. He preceded her in death on March 31, 2011. Surviving is a daughter, Carol Lynch of Alton, a son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Rita LaPelle of Tulsa, OK, two grandchildren, Bill Lynch (Beth) of Wood River and Aimee Hash (Steve) of Broken Arrow, OK, two great grandchildren, Alyson Lynch and Caitlyn Lynch, two great-great grandchildren, Hunter and Nolan, and one sister, Mildred Early of St. James, MO. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son-in-law George Lynch, two brothers, Walter and Herman Doerr and two sisters, Dorothy Ridder and Margaret McCoy. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 25, 2015 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Reverend Randy Butler will officiate. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
