Leta Rose Summers, originally from Fairmont, West Virginia, moved to Godfrey, Illinois in 1950 where she raised a family and spent the remainder of her life. She lived each day with grace, style, and courage which she maintained till the very end. Leta possessed the gentle and powerful strength of a warrior woman in her tiny body, while never ceasing to be a lady. Her delightful sense of humor entertained everyone around her as she strove to ease her friends' and family's pain as she made the journey to depart this earth. As a daughter, wife, mother, friend – she served as a true inspiration to all who had the good fortune to cross her path. Leta will be deeply missed by those who knew and loved her and will remain forever in the hearts that she touched until all of us meet again. No formal services will be held but should friends desire, an expression of sympathy can be made in the form of a donation to BJC Hospice of Alton, One Professional Drive, Suite 180, Alton, IL 62002.
