Kathy L. Walker, 56, passed away unexpectedly Monday, May 10, 2016 with loved ones at her side. Born August 31, 1959 in Wood River she was the daughter of June (Hardesty) Walker of Godfrey and the late Clarence L. Walker Jr. Kathy was loved and will be missed by many. Kathy was a wonderful daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. She loved her family and pets, Nikki, Blacky and Biscuit dearly. Kathy was recently preceded in death by her beloved fiancé Michael Hill. Together they shared a love of camping, traveling and spending time with loved ones and friends for 19 years. Kathy was always ready to try and experience new adventures. She especially loved the opportunity to include her grandchildren in them. Along with her mother, Kathy is survived by one son, Dustin (Brandi) Honchell, two sisters, Melissa (Frank) Hamilton, Denise (David) Peterson, grandchildren, Zoe, Noah, Ryker Honchell, Kassidy, Khloey and Ryan Bowman, Andrea (Hill) and Brandon Yates, Donovan Yates whom she loved as if they were her own. Nieces and nephews, Cory, Geoffery Millsap, Amanda (Eric), Lindsey (Harold), Emma, Kiley and many more whom she loved just the same. Kathy will be always loved and sadly missed by all whose life she touched. Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her grandparents, Denver and Lou Ida Hardesty and Mary Lee Walker. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until time of memorial service at 7:00 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.
