John F. Gillespie, 69, of Hardin, IL passed away Wednesday, September 23, 2026 at St. Luke's Hospital in Chesterfield, MO. Born on July19, 1957, in Alton, Il to the Richard R. and Mary E. (Boggs) Gillespie, Sr. John was a pipefitter for Illinois American. He married Catherine D. Williamson on January 20, 2006 in Hardin, IL. Surviving are his wife, Catherine; a daughter, Emily (Eric) Wolf; a son, Andrew Gillespie; stepdaughter, Andrea (Chris) Hill; stepsons, Joe (Molly) Velikis and Kyle (Lisa) Velikis; nine grandchildren, Christopher Velikis, Darian Wolf, Addyson Wolf, Joseph Velikis, Ryker Hill, Rohan Hill, Hannah Velikis, Olivia Velikis and Maddux Wolf and a brother, Richard R.
