Joe Coleman, 80, died Friday, November 16, 2018 in Jerseyville, IL. He was born April 7, 1938 in Alton, IL the son of the late Leroy and Hannah (Blackener) Coleman. He was retired from Beall Manufacturing in East Alton, IL. On June 14, 1958 in Alton he married Sarah Ann (Garrett) and she survives. Also surviving are three daughters, Shellia Federick (Bob) of Godfrey, Christina Dixon (Dale) of Springfield, IL, Tracy Cain (John) of Dittmer, MO and two sons, Bill Coleman of the Virgin Islands and Matthew Coleman of Indian Lakes, IL, 11 grandchildren, and 19 great grandchildren. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, November 21, 2018 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Reverend Andre' Dobson will officiate. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
