Jettie Ruth Pruiett, 95, died at 3:55 a.m. Saturday, June 29, 2013 at Blu-Fountain in Godfrey. Born March 11, 1918 in Kuttawa, Kentucky, she was the daughter of John W. and Minnie Mae (Fox) Browning. She married I.D. Pruiett in February 1938 in St. Louis, MO. He preceded her in death on July 5, 1990. Surviving is a daughter, Patsy Arnold (Carl) of Godfrey, three sons, Richard Pruiett of Alton, Glenn Pruiett (Vicki) of Brighton, and Daniel Pruiett (Karen) of Gillespie, 12 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren, and two brothers, Glenn Browning (Shirley)of Godfrey, and Tom Browning (Barb) of Arlington, VA. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Dayton Pruiett, two sisters, Mary Underwood (Oku) and Cecille Lamparter (Pete), and three brothers, Ronald Browning, Paul Browning, and John Browning (Betty). Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2013 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Burial will be at Brighton Cemetery. Memorial may be made to BJC Hospice.
