Janelle Ann Nowlan (Jan Booten), aged 89, passed away at 2:29 pm on Tuesday, October 8, 2024 at Jerseyville Manor in Jerseyville, IL after a lengthy illness. She was born August 16, 1935, in Jerseyville, IL. She is the daughter of the late Joseph Leonard Booten and the late Zella Fay (Bell) Mefford.
Jan worked for several years as a beautician with Mefford Beauticians. She also worked as a CNA at St. Joseph's Hospital in Alton, IL. She is survived by her husband of 65 years, John Phillip Nowlan. Also surviving are one son, Lawrence Nowlan of Yuma, TN; one daughter, Marla Lindley and husband Sherrill of Pittsboro, NC; one granddaughter, Lindsey Butler; two grandsons, Jerrod Lindley and Justin Lindley; and one great-grandson, Scott Butler.
