James M. Saunders, 69, died at 3:30 p.m. Friday, September 12, 2014 at his home in Godfrey. Born December 2, 1944 in Gallipolis, Ohio, he was the son of Emily (Johnson) Saunders Waugh of Bidwell, Ohio and the late James E. Saunders and step-son of the late Carl Waugh. He retired as construction manager for Dravo Construction Company in Pittsburgh, PA. He married the former Lynette Evans in 1962 in Gallipolis, Ohio. She survives. Also surviving are three sons, Jeff Saunders of St. Charles, MO, Jason Saunders of Carrollton, IL, and Joe Saunders of St. Louis, MO, numerous grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Per his request, there will be no services. Gent Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
