Jacqueline Phyllis Minor, 91, died at 2:32 p.m. on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Calhoun Nursing Home in Hardin, IL. She was born November 18, 1933 in Allentown, PA, the daughter of the late Howard and Stella (Seidle) Fritchman. She was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Alton, and she worked for many years in the Alton school district as a food service supervisor. On November 23, 1953 in St. Charles, MO she married Leroy Minor, and he preceded her in death on October 2, 2008. Surviving are two daughters, Linda Adcock (Bo) of Hardin, Terry Anderson (John) of Alton, one son, David Gurnsey (Sony) of Hettick, IL, eleven grandchildren, Zac, Nate, Cassie, Ruthie, Stella, George, Lelia, AJ, Jake, Jack and Ezra, eighteen great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, many brother in laws and sister in laws, Charlia Hayden, Dottie Flannery, Dodie and Lonnie Funk, Steve and Linda Minor and Debbie Minor and a special friends and neighbor, Doris and Vernice. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Rickey "Doo" Minor and one sister, Patricia Hayden. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey.
