Herbert H. Obermiller, 82, died at 9:58 p.m. Saturday, December 22, 2012 at his home. Born May 12, 1930 in Miami, FL, he was the son of Edward W. and Tillie (Reuter) Obermiller. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church in Bethalto and retired as a foreman for Clark Oil in Wood River. On December 16, 1975 he married the former Vicki S. Jacobs in Alton. She survives. Also surviving is a son, Jerome R. Obermiller of East Alton, and a sister-in-law, Christine K. Jacobs of Roxana. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward Charles and Calvin Obermiller. A memorial service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 12, 2013 at the Zion Lutheran Church in Bethalto. Reverend Mark Hoffeber will officiate. Burial will be private at Alton Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Southern Illinois Bible Conference, Dining Hall Fund, 13825 E. Dix Texico Rd., Texico, IL 62889. G
