Elizabeth Ann "Libby" Ambrose, 73, died Sunday, December 10, 2023 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield, IL. She was born July 3, 1950 in Urbana, IL, the daughter of the late Ollen William and Marrianna Louise (Huff) Ramey. She worked as a manager in different food industries for many years. On January 3, 1998 in Carlinville, IL she married Mark Alan Ambrose, and he preceded her in death July 18, 2018. Surviving are one son John Lander of Fenton, MO one step son, Scott Ambrose, one step daughter, Diane Ambrose, three brothers, James Ramey (Janell) of Carlinville, IL, Harold Ramey (Chris) of Dallas, GA, Keith Ramey of Evergreen Park, IL, two sisters, Sharon Sanders (Butch) of Hillsboro, IL and Linda Ramey of Fenton, MO and numerous nieces and nephews. Besides her husband and parents she was preceded in death by one step daughter, Katie McCutcheon and one brother, Robert Ramey. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral at 12:00 p.m. Noon on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Burial will be at Fosterburg Cemetery.
