Edna Lorraine Watt, 87, passed away on March 5, 2017. She was born in Alton on May 8, 1929, the daughter of the late Goldie A. (Vanhoy) and James "Fred" Kochersperger. She married Elbert Dewey Watt on May 24, 1947. He preceded her in death on February 25, 1992. Surviving are four sons, Elbert Joseph and Janet of Alton, Darwin and Jamie of Lake St. Louis, MO, Eric and Mary of Godfrey, and Montylee and Ginny of Marion, Iowa. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, Michelle, Jason, Amie, Laura, Katie, Brian, Jeremy, Devin, Melissa, Valerie and Ian and 20 great grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two brothers, Edward and Ernest and two sisters, Reba Wells and Helen Chappel, and a grandson, Shannon. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Friday, March 10, 2017 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Pastor Steven Helfrich will officiate.
