Dorothy "Dot" Mae Reed, 86, of Godfrey, Illinois, was born on January 16, 1938, and peacefully passed away at home on Friday, September 6, 2024.

Dorothy loved her family and enjoyed quilting at Senior Services. She is survived by her children, Jo Ann (Brian) Sheehey, Lee Reed, and Randy (Bobbie Walden) Reed. Her grandchildren Bruce Sheehey, Josephine (Ryan) Aiosa, Brett (Kori) Sheehey, Andrea (BJ) Filla, Matthew Reed, and Ashley Reed. Her great grandchildren Isabella and Lillyana Aiosa, Kensington Sheehey, Benjamin and Levi Filla, and Rainey and Xander Reed.

Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 13, 2024 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton, Illinois. Burial will be at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization that Dorothy supported.
