Donna "Suzie" Sue Stricklan, 63, died at 5:40 a.m. Friday, September 9, 2011 in the comfort of her home. Born December 13, 1947 in West Plains, MO, she was the daughter of Floyd and Ruth (Rountree) Warden. Donna loved the Lord and her devotion to Him was evident to all. She was an active member of First Christian Church of Florissant where she faithfully sang in the choir and served diligently on the janitorial staff. On December 13, 1968 in St. Louis, MO, she married David Gene Stricklan. He survives. Also surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Derek and Valerie Stricklan of Calverton Park, MO, Daniel and Tina Stricklan of Hazelwood, MO, and Devin and Jennifer Stricklan of Ferguson, MO, eight grandchildren, and one sister, Joella Walker and her husband Don of Florissant, MO. She was preceded in death by her parents. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday, September 12, 2011 at First Christian Church, 2890 Patterson Rd., Florissant, MO 63031, where funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2011. Burial will be at Stricklan Cemetery in Ironton, MO. Steve Ross, Associate Minister of Administration at First Christian Church, will officiate.
