Donald J. Gallup Jr., 39, passed away at 10:02 a.m. on Monday, August 20, 2012 at his residence. He was born June 13, 1973 in Alton the son of Donald J. and Jeanette (Kassler) Gallup Sr. He was employed at Central Avenue Auto Parts and later at Car Quest in Alton. He leaves behind his two children of Cottage Hills which he loved very much: Matthew and Arayah. In addition to his son and daughter he is survived by his mother, two sisters: Christina Austin and her husband Craig of Godfrey and Tracey Gallup of Alton, nieces and nephews: Christopher, Ryan, Crystal , Samantha, Nicole and Kayden. He was preceded in death by his father, one step sister, Terri, one niece, Brandy and Grandparents. He thoroughly enjoyed fishing with his daughter and racing RC cars with his son. Visitation will be Thursday, August 23, 2012 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at GENT Funeral Home in Alton. Burial will be private. Memorials may be made to Gent Funeral Home.
