Deborah Catherine (Jones) Carter, 76, died at 1:02 a.m. Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at her home. Born October 11, 1948 in Alton, she was the daughter of H. Ray and Roberta C. (Fink) Jones. She married George Carter on May 25, 1988. He preceded her in death on November 24, 2024. Surviving are two sisters, Michelle "Micky" Jones of Alton and Deanndra "Dandy" Heininger (Gary) of Alton, three cousins, Joe Fink (Dana), Chris Fink, and Valerie Zigler as well as her beloved dog, Luke. She loved Christmas, decorating her home and working in her herb and flower garden. She enjoyed trips to Branson and showing Dalmatians at dog shows. She loved Frank Sinatra and driving her Challenger. Memorials may be made to the 5A's Animal Shelter. No services are scheduled. Gent Funeral Home in Alton is in charge of arrangements.
