Clifford Wayne Dial, 76, died at 2:51 a.m. Saturday, November 26, 2023 at his home in Crystal River, FL. Born September 1, 1947 in Hickman, KY, he was the son of Clifford M. and Margaret (Johnson) Dial. He served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Vietnam War and retired as a machinist from Olin Brass. He married Phyllis Arlene Milner. She preceded him in death on June 3, 2013. Surviving are two sons, Clifford W. Dial II (Roxana) of Cottage Hills, and Johnathan Dial (Tiffany) of Marine, IL, two step-sons, Donny Miller of California and Jim Miller of East Alton, and two step-daughters, Susan Stone (Pastor Mark Stone) of Godfrey and Tina Zarichniak (David) of Kansas as well as multiple grandchildren and great grandchildren. Also surviving is a brother, James "Bo" Blasingim of Crystal River, FL, and a sister, Norma Garbin of Crystal River, FL. Along with his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by a brother, Otis Blasingim Jr. and three sisters, Judith Emery, Sylvia Smith, and Louise Thompson. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 noon Monday, December 4, 2023 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Reverend Seeram Garney will officiate.
