Charles F. Williams III, 75, died at 12:21 p.m. Monday, January 13, 2025 at his home in Alton. Born December 5, 1949 in Alton, he was the son of Charles F. Williams Jr. and Irene S. (Losch) Williams. He retired as plant manager for Owens Illinois Glass and then worked as a nurse for Centerstone Mental Health for over 25 years. On November 29, 1968 he married the former Ann K. Darr in Alton. She survives. Also surviving are two sons, Dr. Andrew Williams (Amy) of Glen Carbon, and Nick Williams (Amy) of Bethalto, three grandchildren, Evan, Mia and Vinny Williams. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Terry L. Williams and a sister, Deborah Sue Creal. A memorial visitation will be from 1:00-4:00 p.m. Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Shriners Children's St. Louis.
