Dateline: Alton

Betty Frazier 83, died Thursday, April 21, 2011 at St. Francis Hospital in Peoria, IL. Born August 18, 1927 in Chesterfield, IL, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Mildred Shuttleworth. Her husband, Gordon Frazier preceded her in death in 1994. Surviving is a daughter, Mary Fox, and a son, Michael Bloemker. She had five grandchildren, Derrick, Lisa, Kelly, and Kevin McCormick, Brian Bloemker, and a step granddaughter, Liza Beckham. She also had six great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Emma and Libby McCormick, Gage Mosher, and Kaden and Peyton Bloemker. She is also survived by two sisters, Evelyn Cruthis of Bethalto, Delores Banks of Alton, and a brother Bob Shuttleworth of San Antonio, Texas. Visitation will be from 5:00-8:00 p.m. Monday at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral services will be at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday. Burial will follow at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Reverend Steve Rice will officiate.
