Bette Ann Clarkson, 97, died at 7:29 a.m. on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at her residence. She was born September 4, 1926 in Franklin, IL the daughter of the late Dwight and Georgia (Lashmet) Seymour. On January 3, 1946 in White Hall, IL she married Harold Lloyd Clarkson, and he preceded her in death on May 27, 2014. Surviving are one daughter, Cinda Christine Loesch (Finley) of Godfrey, one son, Harold Kenton Clarkson (Gail Hutchinson) of Jerseyville, one daughter in law, Joan Prulidge of Alton, two grandchildren, Matthew Loesch (Emily) and Megan Sumpter (Joe) and two great grandchildren, Eric Loesch and Graham Loesch, three sister in laws, Ruth Seymour of Godfrey, Alberta Seymour of Jacksonville, IL and Edema Seymour San Bernadino, CA. Besides her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Richard Mark Clarkson, five brothers and two sisters. A graveside service will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2023 at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Reverend Andre' Dobson will officiate.
