Antoinette Margaret Darr, 94, died at 6:57 am Sunday December 14, 2014. Born May 5, 1920 in Alton, IL, she was the daughter of Dominic and Anna (Azzarello) Campagna. Antoinette was a homemaker and mother to five children and a founding member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church. On May 11, 1946 she married Bert Darr in Alton. He preceded her in death November3, 2013. Surviving are two daughters; Ann Kathleen Williams(Charles), and Martha Louise Darr both of Alton, three sons; Stephen Allen Darr (David Purtle) of Savannah GA, Matthew William Darr (Shelly) of Alton, and Brian David Darr of Arlington, VT, and two sisters; Josephine Clyde of Brighton, and Ann Wittman of Godfrey, 6 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents her husband and two grandchildren; Elizabeth Darr and Abigail Darr, four brothers; Tony, Joseph, August, and Vincent Campagna. Memorial Visitation will be from 4:00-7:00 p.m. Wednesday December 17, 2014 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. A Memorial Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 am Thursday December 18, 2014 at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Godfrey. Burial will follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery in Godfrey. Memorials may be made to either St. Ambrose Catholic Church or IMPACT.
