Alex M. Geisen, 18, died at 10:14 p.m. Monday, October 8, 2012 at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, MO. Born November 4, 1993 in Alton, he was the son of Tamara Schneider of Alton and Joseph Geisen of Alton. Alex worked as a cook at Twin Cities Restaurant in Cottage Hills. He was attending Lewis and Clark College and wanted to be an underwater welder. Along with his mother and father, he is survived by two brothers, Corey and Caleb Geisen, and two sisters, Andria and Courtney Geisen all of Alton, grandparents, Stanley and Linda Bain, Mary and Donald Hendrix, and Paul Geisen, as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his biological father, Stanley R. Bain Jr., and grandparents, Frank and Mary Schneider. Visitation will be from 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, October 12, 2012 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton where funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 13, 2012. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Memorials may be made to the American Red Cross.
