Alberta Noreen McCann, 91, died at 7:47 p.m. Saturday, November 12, 2011 at Alton Rehabilitation. She was born July 4, 1920 in Fielden, IL the daughter of Victor and Dollie Ethel (Cooper) Heiderscheid On July 21, 1938 in St. Charles, MO she married Charles McCann and he preceded her in death on June 22, 1993. She retired after 38 years with the Olin Corporation as an inspector. Surviving are one son; Paul McCann of Godfrey, three grandchildren; David McCann (Janie) of Fosterburg, IL , Sue Ann White (David) of Menifee, CA, and Brett McCann (Atoosa) of Maryland Heights, MO, six great grandchildren; Dustin, Jacob, Dylan, Sydney, Emirhan and Ashley, a great granddaughter; Rainey. Besides her husband she was preceded in death by two brothers; Morris and John Heiderscheid, and three sisters; Evelyn Brooks, Hazel Cope and Leona Lohr. Visitation will be Wednesday, November 16, 2011 from 12:00 Noon until time of service at 1:00 p.m. with Reverend Steve Rice to officiate. Burial will be at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey. Memorials may be made to American Heart Association or Shriners Children's Hospital.
