Dateline: Godfrey, IL Thomas Hugo Tennison, 72, died at 3:17 p.m. Thursday, April 28, 2022 at his home in Godfrey, IL. Born January 31, 1950 in Starkville, MS, he was the son of Charles and Mary Billie (Jackson) Tennison. Mr. Tennison served in the Mississippi National Guard and retired as a supervisor for the Mississippi Highway Department. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Alton, IL. Surviving is a step-daughter, Lacey Wade and her husband Chris of Atlanta, GA and their children, Chloe, Parker and Kylie Wade. Also surviving is a sister, LuAnne Dobson and her husband Reverend Andre’ Dobson of Godfrey, IL, and two nephews, Wes and Wade Dobson, and great nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 6, 2022 at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Winston County, MS. Reverend Andre’ Dobson and Reverend Wade Dobson will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Thursday Work Crew at Calvary Baptist Church in Alton, IL. Gent Funeral Home in Alton, IL is in charge of arrangements.
