    Terry L. Monks

    August 31, 1944 - February 25, 2021

    Terry L. Monks, 76, died at 3:26 a.m. Thursday, February 25, 2021 at his home in Wood River. Born August 31, 1944 in Alton, he was the son of Stanley P. and Ethel (Viesselman) Monks. Mr. Monks retired as a technician for the Illinois Department of Transportation. He was a member of the New Douglas Masonic Lodge and the First Baptist Church of Maryville. He enjoyed playing golf, snow skiing and traveling. Surviving is a sister-in-law, Kay Monks of The Villages, FL, a nephew, Craig Monks of Orlando, FL and his ex-wife, Linda Monks of Glen Carbon. Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Richard Monks. There will be no services. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
