Denise, fondly called “Nesie” by family, was born in Alton on September 18, 1951, the daughter of Donald and Dorothy (Collins) St. Peters. Denise spent her entire life in the Alton-Godfrey area, attending Marquette High School and later Blackburn College in Carlinville, where she graduated with a degree in business.
