Born July 18, 1938 in St. Louis, MO, she was the daughter of Oliver and Marie (Kaufmann) Alewel. She married Lee Roy Rush Sr. They were married for 54 years. He preceded her in death on October 28, 2011. Surviving are her children, Deborah Dudley (Hal) of Killeen, TX, Lee Rush Jr. of St. Louis, MO, Eddie Rush of Little Rock, AR, and Robert Rush (Stacy) of Belleville, 10 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren. Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Beverly, and her siblings, Edna, Lorraine, Bea, Eddie, and Oliver “Sonny”. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until time of funeral service at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, January 9, 2022 at Gent Funeral Home in Alton.
